“We spend our lives inside our brain, but we never get to see it.”

Prof. Steven Laureys

Neurologist & Scientific Advisor to PrintMyBrain

Now you can. Here is how a standard brain MRI becomes an object you can hold.

It starts with your MRI

A map of your brain,
slice by slice.

An MRI scan is a stack of hundreds of thin images of your head. Together, they hold a precise 3D picture of your brain: every fold, every groove, exactly where it sits.

The best results come from a high-resolution 3D scan, often called “3D T1”. Most brain MRIs include one.

From scan to sculpture

Four steps between
your scan and your hands.

01

Check

We review your files and make sure the scan has the detail we need. If something is missing, we tell you.

02

Isolate

Software separates your brain from the skull and surrounding tissue, and traces the surface of your cortex.

03

Model

That surface becomes a 3D model. We clean it and prepare it for printing, without changing its shape.

04

Print

Your brain is printed layer by layer, finished by hand and shipped to your door.

Our scientific advisor

Prof. Steven Laureys

[Short bio to be written and approved by Steven: e.g. neurologist, founder of the Coma Science Group, research on consciousness.]

He was one of the first to hold his own PrintMyBrain sculpture.

An object, not a diagnosis.

Your sculpture is a personal and decorative object. It is not a medical device and is not used for any diagnosis.

Your data stays yours.

Your scan is used only to create your sculpture, with your explicit consent. Your files are deleted 30 days after delivery.

Your mind. Made tangible.
